Northcliffe + Vaughan

This 36-storey building adds purpose-built rental stock near a new Crosstown LRT stop and sets a precedent for densifying Toronto along its major arteries.

Project
Description

Located steps away from the Fairbank Crosstown LRT station at the intersection of Northcliffe Boulevard and Vaughan Road, this 36-storey apartment building will serve as a landmark for the neighbourhood and precedent for future high-density development along Eglinton Avenue.

Situated in Little Jamaica, the building’s five-storey podium includes townhouse units at grade, reflecting the hybrid mixture of mid-rise apartment complexes and two-storey houses around the site. Rising above the podium, the 31-storey tower features unique triangular balconies, distinguishing itself as a design-forward precedent for much-needed density in the area.

Comprising 437 units of various sizes, the building offers bicycle parking for all units, below-grade parking, at-grade indoor amenity spaces, and a rooftop terrace. Each unit also includes a private balcony with screens that add privacy while simultaneously orienting views towards the water and downtown core.
